About the role
As a DevSecOps Intern, you'll work closely with our engineering team to support infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and security across our production systems.
This is a hands-on role: you'll get real exposure to cloud environments, DevOps workflows, and application security in a live production setting, while learning how a fast-moving AI startup ships and secures software.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Work with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts, and help respond to issues.
- Help identify security risks and implement best practices.
- Support application security efforts (basic vulnerability checks and audits).
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system reliability and security.
- Help automate infrastructure and deployment processes.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of DevOps concepts (CI/CD, deployments, automation).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes (basic understanding).
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and application security principles.
- Understanding of Linux systems and the command line.
- Ability to learn quickly and debug issues independently.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and similar).
- Basic understanding of network security and the OWASP Top 10.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, and similar).
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash).
- Curiosity about AI systems and backend infrastructure.
