Telephony Integration for Voice AI Agents

Connect RevRag AI Voice to your existing SIP or cloud telephony provider.

RevRag AI's Voice AI Calling Agent connects to your telephony infrastructure via SIP trunk. This means your AI calling agent uses your existing phone numbers, your existing carrier, and your existing call routing setup - no migration required.

Supported Telephony Providers

RevRag AI works with any SIP-compatible telephony provider. Common setups include:

  • Exotel - widely used in India for outbound calling campaigns
  • Twilio - global coverage with programmable SIP and webhook support
  • Knowlarity - cloud telephony commonly deployed in BFSI contact centers
  • In-house SIP - any on-premises PBX with SIP trunk capability

Inbound vs Outbound

RevRag AI Voice supports both outbound calling (agent-initiated) and inbound handling (customer-initiated). Outbound is typically used for collections, renewals, and re-engagement campaigns. Inbound is used to route incoming calls to the AI agent before escalating to a human.

Configuring the SIP Connection

In Settings → Integrations → Telephony, enter your SIP trunk credentials and test the connection. RevRag AI will verify signaling and media connectivity. Once the connection is confirmed, you can assign phone numbers to specific agents and campaigns.

Call Recording and Compliance

RevRag AI records all AI-handled calls by default for quality assurance and compliance. Recordings are stored securely in your RevRag AI workspace and can be accessed from the Observability dashboard. You can configure retention periods and access controls to meet your compliance requirements.
